Frequently Asked Questions
- What's the difference between the Mobile and Standard versions of QwikLaw?
- The mobile version is simply a scaled down version of QwikLaw.
- It has all the same functionality as the standard version, but designed to accomodate the requirements and limitations of mobile devices.
- Will QwikLaw Mobile work on my phone or PDA?
- QwikLaw will work on any phone or PDA with an HTML browser and internet access. The mobile version of QwikLaw has been designed to be asthetically attractive for mobile browsers with at least 320x240 resolution. Lower resolution browsers, like those found on flip phones, will still be able to display QwikLaw and be fully functional, but the layout may not display the same as with other browsers.
- Have any access issues occurred with QwikLaw?
- Browser Settings Issue
- Change your browser settings to accept cookies. Sites utilizing databases, etc., need to set "session cookies" in order to carry out the information exchange. QwikLaw will not function with an incorrect setting.
- If your browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.) fraud warning is set to "on", it will not allow the website to open. Many websites, including QwikLaw, do not use security certificates and will not function with this filter. If you find that you are unable to access QwikLaw or other websites that are normally accessible on a desktop computer, you will need to switch the "fraud warning" to the "off" position.
- If you are still unable to access QwikLaw and the above does not remedy the problem, you may need to contact your I.T. department/contractor or your phone service provider. They should be able to assist you with the proper settings for your browser.
- Do I have to purchase separate licenses for the Standard and Mobile versions of QwikLaw?
- No. One license will allow access to both the Standard and Mobile versions using the same login credentials.
- Can I put a QwikLaw Shortcut on my desktop?
- Yes. You can do this in several ways.
- While the QwikLaw Home Page is showing in your browser, save the QwikLaw address to your Favorites. Next, right-click on the favorites icon, minimize your browser window and right-click then, paste the icon to your desktop.
- Again, while the QwikLaw Home Page is showing in your browser, go to the top of your browser screen with your mouse pointer and pull the top of the window down until it shows your desktop. Then, place your pointer on the address line in the browser and drag to your desktop.
- Finally, you can email a request to us and we'll send you an executable file (.exe) that places an icon on your desktop.
- Can I log in from more than one device at a time?
- No. Simultaneous connections from the same username are not permitted.
- If you log in to Qwiklaw while the same username is being used on another device both connections will be terminated and you will have to log in again.
- See Terms Of Use for more information on usage policies.
- Can I share my Login Information with a friend?
- No. Sharing your username and password with others is a violation of the Terms Of Use and can lead to permanent revocation of your license.
- The revenue generated through license sales allows us to maintain the server and continually update and expand the database.
- Future expansion relies on today's successes.
- Can I "Test Drive" QwikLaw before I buy a license?
- Absolutely! Simply Register and you're in! New users automatically get a FREE thirty (30) day full-access trial before purchasing QwikLaw.
- Will QwikLaw expand to include more states and local ordinances?
- That is our goal! We encourage you to submit your feedback and tell us what you want. The more interest we receive for a particular feature or including a region the higher on the priority list it will go.
- Is there a Money-Back Guarantee?
- We offer a free full-access thirty (30) day trial run. This gives you an opportunity to test out QwikLaw.
- If you don't think QwikLaw will benefit you then you are under no obligation to purchase. However, if you decide to purchase and later decide it's not for you, we will issue refunds for the remaining period left on your subscription.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
- We accept cash (in person, of course!), checks, and PayPal. Credit and debit card payments are accepted through PayPal.
